![]() ![]() I re-did the insulation on two glow plug wires and the coolant temp sensor wires on my last repair. I'm going to look in the FSM to see if I can find a common fuse, power wire, or ground.ĭuring my recent epic boost problem repair, many of the wires in my harness got damaged by driving with the exhaust cracked long enough for the heat to melt things, so this might be another manifestation of that problem. I'm thinking it's possible that coolant may be swamping a wire harness in a cavity somewhere and causing the DTC. I haven't seen any new leaks since fixing the sensor. I'm going to drain and re-fill the system with the correct 50/50 mixture today before my 200 mile trip to see my Mom. The temperature here has been in the low 100s, and I did see the engine coolant temperature creep up to at least 210, so it's possible it might be boiling without sufficient antifreeze in it. I replaced the sensor and gasket, and have been running in test mode on a mixture of mostly water since then to verify no leaks. The gasket got pinched and coolant was escaping there. The only other recent problem was that I had a leak when I tried to repair the Coolant Temperature Sensor and re-installed it incorrectly. I've reset the codes a few times, and they keep coming back. ![]() I still have a code for the Crankcase Ventilation Heater, which I've already replaced. After enjoying several *days* of relatively DTC-driving in Junior, including a 100 mile trip to see my GF in Bryan, I've suddenly got DTCs for a short to ground for all six fuel injectors at the same time. ![]()
